Kindle Fire stuck on boot screen (animation, logo)

Sometimes, the Kindle Fire gets stuck on the boot screen animation logo, there are various reasons why it would freeze like that, if your Kindle Fire is still vanilla (e.g. you haven't rooted it), it probably just needs a hard reset.

How to hard reset a Kindle Fire?

  • Press and hold the power button for around 20 seconds and release.
  • When it turns off, turn your Kindle Fire on by pressing the power button.
  • That's it, your KF is running again!

    no it is not. once , twice, and trice, and many more times, still stuck

    Thank you... I tried it with only holding the power button til the screen goes black... But you hav to hold it for the twenty seconds

    ok first off wth is rooting. If thats attaching it to the computer then holding down the power button for 20 seconds 30 seconds one minute 3 minutes or even longer HASNT WORKED so A POX upon you for saying thats it! Second attaching to the computer didnt work either so again look into other issues before you decide to say poof thats it youre done!
